Our history
Parklex is the result of the union of two leading brands in the architectural cladding sector, bringing together more than 100 years of experience working with wood. This natural material is at the heart of our identity and the common thread of a story told in two voices.
It all begins with Prodema, founded in San Sebastián in 1903 under the name Echevarria y Eléicegui, SRC. After decades of technical development, the company evolved from an industrial carpentry workshop to leading the façade market, driven by its great success at Expo ’92.
Parklex, for its part, was born in Bera as a brand of the company Maderas Gurea. From 1966 onwards, it specialised in high-density laminates before making the definitive leap into the construction sector, bringing a technical and structural vision to the use of wood.
Collaboration between the two began to take shape in 2004 under the same holding company, but it was not until 2022 that they completed their full merger, becoming the brand we know today. Thanks to their long-standing mastery of natural materials, Parklex has developed durable, maintenance-free wood products, enabling this material to be used in applications where it was previously unthinkable for safety or durability reasons.
Today, we elevate nature through technology with sensitivity, giving rise to a unique way of doing things. A balance where technology and craftsmanship coexist to create an exceptional product, in both beauty and performance. A one-of-a-kind solution that, without nature, simply would not exist.
